About Me

I am a California State licensed Marriage and Family Therapist #50436 specializing in individual psychotherapy and couples counseling in private practice in Valley Village, CA. Click here for license verification.

From 2005-2011, as a trainee/intern at Positive Directions at Verdugo Mental Health Center in Glendale, California, I have worked with a broad spectrum of clients. Among my areas of expertise are relationship issues, anxiety, compulsion, codependency, trauma, addiction and spiritual/creative growth.

I also held the position of Program Director of Positive Directions  from 2009-2011. My experience at Positive Directions gave me exposure to an array of individuals with intrinsic dilemmas, as well as ongoing interaction with community resources. Prior to returning to my higher education in 2002, I had a rewarding career as an interior designer in the Los Angeles area.

I am currently an owner and administrative director of Sessions Counseling Group, Inc @ www.SessionsCounselingGroup.com. Sessions Counseling Group offers counseling services for adults and couples made possible by qualified, supervised interns in a pleasant and comfortable setting with a sliding scale.

As a graduate of Pacifica Graduate Institute, my depth psychological training encourages a creative and collaborative therapeutic relationship. My therapeutic approach is to address your most immediate issues through support and practical feedback while creatively exploring what unconscious motivation may be informing your choices. Working with myth and metaphor, poetry, dreams, literature and art, we can track your outer AND inner experiences and connect your history of experiences to the problem. From there, we can determine what options are available to you now.
